Almost 300 of HDF’s Closest Friends Celebrate 25 Years of Impact at the Hyatt Regency in Old Greenwich
Our most successful fundraising breakfast yet, HDF’s 25th Anniversary Benefit Breakfast, was attended by more than 250 of our friends and partners, and garnered more than $78,000 in support! To commemorate a quarter century of impact, founding board members and past staff returned to celebrate, as well as community leaders and dignitaries, including Secretary Ben Barnes, Congressman Jim Himes, Mayor David Martin of Stamford, and Mayor Harry Rilling of Norwalk.
Commissioner Catherine Smith of the Department of Economic and Community Development gave the keynote address, and HDF honored Governor Dannel Malloy and Board member Clay Fowler of Spinnaker Real Estate for their commitment to cause of affordable housing. Not only did we hear from the key movers and shakers of the Connecticut housing, but also from elementary to high school students who shared what home meant to them through art and essay. It was a truly special morning.
