Stamford, CT, May 15, 2015–First County Bank has awarded Housing Development Fund $12,500 for its First Time Home Buyer counseling and education program.
HDF’s First Time Homebuyer Program (FTHB) program offers homeownership counseling and down payment assistance to low- and moderate- income households. The FTHB program is a success because it combines proven financial counseling materials and technical expertise with the human touch of well qualified and certified counselors. To date, the FTHB has provided homeownership counseling and education to over 8,700 households and enabled over 2000 families to purchase homes.
