First County Bank Foundation awarded HDF a $10,000 grant to support its First Time Home Buyer education and counseling Program. HDF’s first time homebuyer counseling services are provided completely free of charge, and they’re designed specifically to help regular people buy their first homes.
Established in 2001 in honor of First County Bank’s 150th anniversary, the First County Bank Foundation was created to distribute funds annually to non-profit organizations that support community and economic development for children and families. As a mutual community bank, First County Bank has no stockholders; the Bank considers contributions made to the Foundation as a means of paying dividends back to the local communities in Stamford, Norwalk, Darien, Greenwich, New Canann, and Westport.
