Citi Foundation awards HDF $55,000 in grant money for HDF’s First Time Homebuyer and LEAP program.
The Citi Foundation awards the Housing Development Fund a grant to support two of its programs; the First Time Home Buyer Program and its more recent addition to its lending family, the LEAP program.
In addition, Citi Foundation will support HDF’s LEAP program (The Landlord Entrepreneurship Affordability Program). LEAP is designed to help income-eligible landlord entrepreneurs purchase and renovate 2-4 family homes in Fairfield, New Haven, Litchfield, or Hartford counties in Connecticut. Through LEAP, clients can take advantage of financing, education, and counseling designed to help them achieve sustainable and responsible homeownership as a landlord entrepreneur.
The Citi Foundation has been one of HDF’s most important partners over the last six years and their support is essential in supporting HDF’s goal of strengthening communities by encouraging low and moderate income families to own their own homes and build their assets.
