Webster Bank has awarded HDF $12,000 to continue providing individualized one-on-one first-time homebuyer counseling.
STAMFORD, CT – The Housing Development Fund is grateful to receive a $12,000 grant from Webster Bank in support of our first-time homebuyer counseling program. For many years now, Webster Bank has been a valued HDF partner dedicating support to our strong growth. We are excited to continue this partnership as together we create more sustainable affordable housing opportunities for Connecticut and New York residents.
The counseling program supported by this grant provides all of our low- to moderate-income clients with an advisor who works individually with them to develop a specific action plan to increase savings and reduce debt as well as identify financial strategies that work for them. HDF strongly believes in making the homebuying process as affordable and stress-free as possible for our clients, which is why we are dedicated to providing this service for free. It is rewarding to have found a like-minded partner in Webster Bank, who recognizes the importance of these aims, and has continued to financially support this mission.
Webster Bank supports a wide range of registered non-profit agencies that serve low- to moderate-income individuals and families throughout our northeast markets and beyond. Helping a broad set of organizations build a strong and self-reliant community is at the heart of Webster’s Corporate Giving program, as well as collaboration with our United Way partners.
