This generous gift could not have come at a more important and challenging time, and will greatly assist HDF in our 30 year effort to ensure that Connecticut families are able to have a place to call home.
COVID 19 has exposed glaring social inequity, economic fragility, and racial wealth gaps in our society, and the enormous contributions that essential workers make to every community. Homeownership education, counseling, and provision of low cost financing to assist people in the purchase of their first homes are the strategies HDF uses to bridge these gaps. This gift will greatly assist HDF to continue and expand our work and join with families and communities in building a thriving and diverse Connecticut.
