New TD Foundation Grant to Support Counseling Program for Seniors
Stamford, CT, August 21, 2015– The TD Charitable Foundation has awarded Housing Development Fund $5,000 to counsel seniors with their housing choices. The grant will help publicize HDF’s ability to counsel seniors as they explore buying a home or using a reverse mortgage. Connecticut has a high percentage of seniors in its overall population, and different methods of senior housing need to be explored.
HDF President Joan Carty applauds the grant from TD Bank through the TD Charitable Foundation as a starting point in HDF’s quest for Housing Solutions to assist seniors’ ability to stay in their communities.
Since 1989, HDF has made affordable housing a reality in Connecticut and beyond.
